Privacy policy

Evermon is a free creature-battling game at leosevermon.com, run by The Evermon team. This page explains what it keeps about you and why. The short version: you can play without telling us anything, and if you sign in we keep only what is needed to save your game.

Playing without an account

You do not need an account to play. Without one, your game is saved only in your own browser, on your own device, and never sent to us. That includes:

  • your trainers, their Evermon, progress, credits and items
  • a safety copy of your previous save, in case something goes wrong
  • when you last made a backup
  • your settings: light or dark theme, sound and music
  • a short random label for this browser, used only to tell two browsers apart

Backup files and share links are made on your device. A share link carries a trainer inside the link itself, after the #, which browsers do not send to our server — but anyone you give the link to can open that trainer, so share it only with people you choose.

You can remove all of this at any time by deleting your trainers in the game or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Signing in

Signing in is optional, and is meant for a parent or guardian. It keeps your family’s game in your account so it is the same on every device you use.

  • With email: we receive your email address, and send one-time sign-in codes to it.
  • With Google: Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to sign you in and to show who is signed in. We do not ask Google for anything else, and we do not use or share this information for any other purpose.
  • Your game save: while you are signed in, your family’s trainers — their names, chosen pictures, Evermon, progress, credits and items — are stored with your account.
  • Cookies: signing in sets cookies that keep you signed in. They are needed for the account to work and are not used for tracking or advertising.

Trainer names are whatever the player types. We suggest a nickname rather than a child’s full name.

Children

Evermon is made for children to play. A child can play the whole game without giving any personal information. Accounts are meant to be created by a parent or guardian, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through accounts. If you believe a child has created an account, email zivgonen@gmail.com and we will delete it.

What we do not do

  • We do not show advertising.
  • We do not use analytics or tracking scripts.
  • We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
  • We do not contact you, apart from the sign-in codes you ask for.

Services we use

A few companies run parts of Evermon for us. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Vercel hosts the website. Like any web host, it processes technical details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
  • Clerk handles signing in, and holds your email address, or your Google name, email and picture.
  • Upstash stores the game saves of signed-in accounts.
  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Keeping and deleting your information

Your account and the saves stored with it are kept until you ask us to delete them. To delete your account, email zivgonen@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we will delete the account and every save stored with it. Deleting your account does not touch the copy of the game in your own browser; you can remove that yourself as described above.

You can also email us to ask what we hold about you, or to correct it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
