New Evermon

Two new Evermon: a legendary dancer and a very cool bee

· 3 min read

Two new Evermon arrived today, and the Everdex is up to 85.

Beatit

Beatit

Nº084

Beatit

Normal

It leans further over than anything standing up should be able to, and holds it there. Whatever was thrown at it goes straight past, and it comes back upright as if that was the next step of the dance.

Beatit is a legendary, and it's Normal type. It wears a white suit and a hat, and it never stops dancing, even in the middle of a battle.

It also has a brand new ability.

Lean

Beatit leans further over than anything standing up should be able to. Every attack aimed at Beatit needs a roll 7 higher to land. You'll still hit it sometimes, and a critical hit always lands, but more of your attacks will sail straight past it. When that happens, the game tells you: "Beatit's Lean!"

It knows the songs

Beatit fights with five different types (Normal, Psyche, Umbra, Fist and Fae), and from Lv.24 on, most of its moves are its own:

Billie Jean

Psyche65 dmg · 10 uses

Every step it takes lights the floor up underneath it, and the foe cannot stop watching its feet long enough to do anything else.

Man in the Mirror

Psyche80 dmg · 5 uses

Holds up the foe's own reflection and asks it to make a change. It is usually too confused to.

Hee-Hee!

Normal85 dmg · 5 uses

One high yelp, a kick, a grab of the hat brim. The foe is on the floor, and still not sure which of the three did it.

Toe Stand

Fist90 dmg · 3 uses

Up onto the very tips of its toes, one spin, and the kick arrives from wherever the spin happened to leave it.

Beat It

Normal100 dmg · 3 uses

Tells the foe, once, to beat it. Nobody has ever needed telling twice.

Beat It, at Lv.62, is the biggest punch it has. It's not always accurate, but when it lands, the other one doesn't need telling twice.

Like every legendary, Beatit is rare to meet and hard to catch. Its rare colours are a gold suit with a crimson lining.

Bad learned some songs too

Bad

Nº045

Bad

Normal

Tips its hat, tells you something true, and is gone before you work out which part. Ghosts want nothing to do with it and the feeling is entirely mutual.

Bad and Beatit have a lot in common, so they now share two moves. Black or White replaces Headlong Rush, and Smooth Criminal replaces Moonless. They hit exactly as hard as the moves they replace, so Bad fights just the same as before. If your Bad already knew one of the old moves, it now knows the new one instead. You don't need to do anything.

Smooth Criminal

Umbra90 dmg · 3 uses

Slides in sideways with the hat brim low, and is walking away again before anybody can say what happened. Nobody ever can.

Icestingckle

Icestingckle

Nº085

Icestingckle

InsectFrost

Wears its sunglasses even in the snow, which is where it lives. Its sting is cold before it is sharp, and by the time you feel the cold it has already flown off to be cool somewhere else.

Icestingckle is an ice bee, and it's Insect and Frost. It wears its sunglasses even in the snow, which is where it lives. Its sting is cold before it's sharp, and by the time you feel the cold, it has already flown off to be cool somewhere else.

It's the fastest of the Evermon that don't evolve, but also one of the easiest to knock out. It fights with Insect, Frost, Venom and Normal moves, and it has two new moves of its own:

Needle Dive

Insect35 dmg · 20 uses

Points the sharp end at the target and goes. It worked out very early on which end that was.

Buzzkill

Insect95 dmg · 3 uses

The hum becomes a whine, the whine becomes a dive, and the fun is over for whoever was standing nearest.

A word of warning: Flame and Stone moves hit Icestingckle four times as hard, so if you meet one, that's what to bring.

Its rare colours are honey yellow. It's an ice bee that turned out to be a real bee's colour after all.
